At the heart of the GP-VPT3 is the detachable RMT-VP2 remote commander, which connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to select Sony cameras and smartphones. This allows you to trigger key functions including shutter release, movie start and stop, zoom or focus adjustment, and two user-assigned custom controls (C1 and AF-ON) from up to 10 m away. The remote mirrors the layout and function of key camera controls, making it intuitive to operate even without line of sight.
